What if I’ve never danced before?
Private lessons are a fabulous way to discover a new dance style without the pressure of learning at everyone else’s pace. Each person has a unique learning style, and private lessons allow you the space to grow at your own pace.
You’ll be guided through the basics of West Coast Swing, to establish a solid foundation. This you can take into group classes or further private lessons. It’ll also help you to be able to dance with others all over the world because you’re speaking the same ‘dance language’.
Does it matter if I don’t have a dance partner?
No, it doesn’t! You can dance with Amanda the entire time to help you understand the feeling and connection you’re aiming to achieve within your dance. You will learn skills that’ll transpose to group classes, should you wish to join them at a later stage.
What if I only want to dance with my partner?
Some individuals don’t fancy the idea of dancing with people whom they’ve never met before. They might just want to dance with their partner alone. Private lessons are an amazing way to enjoy dancing with your partner without the complication of explaining why you’ve decided not to rotate in the class.
Can I learn the leader and follower role?
With 10+ years of experience teaching and dancing West Coast Swing, Amanda can teach you both the leader and follower roles. If you want to understand what it’s like for both sides, and develop your dance skills to further heights, this is a great way to do so. It’s highly encouraged to skill up in both roles to understand the dance fuller and to become a more well rounded dancer.
Price
$100 per hour, which includes either individual or couples’ dance lessons.
Group lessons are also available, so speak to Amanda to discuss the specifics of this.
